These counts describe the available data, not a quality score. More features do not automatically make a better device.
Consider your setup
Confirm which features appear in Apple Home and whether extra hardware or a subscription is needed for your intended use.
Inspect the specificationsConsider your setup
Confirm the exact device type and the features exposed in your chosen platform. Protocol support does not establish feature parity across apps.
Inspect the specificationsYour priorities, side by side
Mark the specifications you care about. Open manufacturer sources for verification scope; fields without citations remain catalog data. Expand notes for other qualifications.

Connects straight to the home 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network with no hub, and the setup guide asks for a 2.4 GHz network.
Bluetooth is used to commission the valve into a smart home app. The CSA listing for the control module is Matter over Wi-Fi with Bluetooth.
Up to 1/4 mile in open air to the YoLink hub.
Closes the valve automatically when a paired EcoNet leak sensor reports water, and Matter apps can add their own automations.
Schedules, app control and automations with YoLink leak sensors and other devices.
EcoNet lists Amazon Alexa, with Echo Dot (3rd gen and later), Echo Studio and Echo Show as compatible Matter controllers. Needs a Matter controller (hub or speaker) on the home network.
EcoNet lists Apple Home, with HomePod, HomePod mini and Apple TV as Matter controllers. Apple Home has no water valve device type, so the valve is expected to appear as a switch. Needs a Matter controller (hub or speaker) on the home network.
YoLink's compatibility list for the valve controllers is Alexa, Google, IFTTT and Home Assistant, with no Apple Home path.
EcoNet lists Google Home, with Nest Mini, Nest Hub and Nest Wifi Pro as compatible Matter controllers. Needs a Matter controller (hub or speaker) on the home network.
Works through Matter. Home Assistant is a Matter controller, and Matter devices can be added to several controllers at once.
The official Home Assistant YoLink integration lists this controller as YS5003-UC (Water Valve Controller 2).
The EVC400-MW supports Matter over Wi-Fi.

Matter over Wi-Fi, certified by the CSA in January 2025 (Matter 1.0). The certification lists the control module as a WIFI Relay Controller Board with the On/Off cluster, so a Matter app may show the valve as a switch or plug rather than as a water valve.
Works through Matter. EcoNet lists SmartThings 2018 and 2015 hubs and the Aeotec Smart Home Hub as compatible Matter controllers.
SmartThings is not on YoLink's compatibility list for this product.
Works on its own without a smart home hub or an internet connection, and links up to 20 EcoNet leak sensors directly, so a wet sensor closes the valve with no cloud in between.
Once paired device-to-device, a YoLink water leak sensor closes the valve directly over LoRa, with no internet, no app and no AC power; the hub and internet are only needed for the app and notifications.
Wired leak sensor kits are an optional accessory for spots such as a washing machine or water heater.
EcoNet sells an optional battery backup kit (12 V / 5 V, 3000 mAh) that keeps the system working for up to 24 hours in a power outage.
When the controller runs on its adapter, the four AA batteries stay in as backup during a power outage.
YoLink quotes 2+ years between battery changes in battery-only mode.
Powered by a 12 V DC adapter that plugs into the control module. The motor connects to the module with a cable of about 9.8 ft (3 m).
The controller can run from the included plug-in 12 V adapter instead of, or together with, its batteries.
The kit includes two mounting brackets for ball valves from 3/4" to 1-1/2". Quarter-turn ball valves with a handle only, not gate valves. Alternate mounting kits cover other sizes, from 1/2" to 2".
YoLink recommends the EVO for ball valves of 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2" and 2", attached directly to the valve shaft with a direct-drive adapter; it installs in about 15 minutes with a Phillips screwdriver and also fits PVC ball valves once the handle is removed.
